Too many meetings. It seems project managers need to feel important by running multiple meetings a day. It hurts software development progress... a lot!
Mike Malone
Web developer
What solutions can a web developer provide? I am in one improvement process, I would like you to help me, I am looking for my services to be based on the problems that people have and to see from the point of view of my knowledge in programming what I can contribute.
Ignacio
CTO
Finding talented and capable employees to hire. In my case it's looking for programmers. The solutions that exist in the marketplace are crude blunt tools that are gamed by terrible tech "body shops" in 3rd world countries that push barely-capable people upon us and take the majority of their pay. While there are solutions like Indeed out there that try to disintermediate them, those platforms have been overrun by these soul-sucking people as well.

Project Manager
Latest windows update caused all kinds of problems. It was a pain to correct the issues
Juan
LLM engineer
Some of the projects I work on have extremely complicated instructions but do not explain certain aspects of the project well.
L
VP of Client Support
While our app provides manual, self-service password reset options, password requests continue to make up +- 10% of support requests. What are ways you have reduced or eliminated these types of requests from your support queue?
Jon Jackson
Director of PPC
I would like a platform that could summarize and organize notes from all of the different client calls we have, that I could reference for information whenever I need it. Currently no platform is able to do all of the above: individual platforms address individual issues within this scenario (ex. one platform takes notes automatically during a call, another acts as a document repository, etc). A unified platform that can do all of the above, with an included LLM that has access and memory of all of the different conversations, deliverables, etc would be a truly powerful asset.
Ian Richard
IT Manager
I think one issue is we need to listen. I have lots of coworkers who are fast and hard working. The owchie I have is when we all have different ideas and there is 0 compromise. We need to learn to listen to each other for once instead of only talking.
Reno
Creative Director
I’m expected to do hands on design and development but some days I spend so much time on Slack, on PR reviews, and meetings that it takes a very long time to do the simplest jobs. It can be frustrating giving status reports on projects that barely move along.
Tyler
Sales Manager
I wish I had the ability to automate data entry into our CRM system.
Mark
Software developer
Compliance and regulations are such a pain. I just want to write good software. But so much time is spent documenting and filing paperwork for compliance. It really sucks the joy out of doing software development. How can we make compliance less painful?
James Hannisburg
I have too many meetings. They take up so much of my time and it leaves me with little time to do the actual work that needs to be done.
Director of CS
Project flow, projects take too long. Some PMs do not track, waiting on pieces from other departments.
Steph Greene
Director of Technology
Change management. Getting buy-in from leadership and the company on how to implement change whether technology, software development or processes. Better change management leads to less chaos and confusion
Jeremiah Sulewski
Director of IT
It is so tough to get new positions approved, even though we need them. We are constantly asked to do more with less.
Blake Draper
We keep getting tasked with doing more while reducing or maintaining headcount. It is a painful process to get new positions approved.
CEO
Even though our sales and revenues are growing, are margins aren't. The cost of personnel, IT, and overall overheard costs continue to increase beyond the point at which we can raise our prices.
Tony
Director of Operations
Funding. It is a constant struggle to find the right partners that can help us grow.
Bart Wilson
HR Leader
The biggest pain point is dealing with annoying people who are impossible to please. It is hard to deal with employees who have unreasonable requests and are not willing to be reasonable. They are not self-aware of their own limits and capabilities.
Grace
Software Engineer
Keeping up with the productivity curve. Trying to save money and do things yourself, as a lifestyle, is a pain sometimes! I understand things can be done with less people, especially in the AI era, but keeping up with the curve until you hit a breakthrough can be stressful!
Justin
Director
My biggest pain point is trying to keep up with the curve. Making sure I am increasing productivity, sometimes can be a pain! :(

Hey, how do you deal with developers who aren't responsive out on Slack? It's been really frustrating for me lately. I'm often the one handling alerts, PR requests, and conversations by myself while others aren't responding. Hours go by in the workday and people aren't responding to my pings. Builds are broken, and I'm the only one reviewing PRs. I know it's a culture thing and an expectation that should be set by management but I don't really have any control or influence there.

I run a small business, and I'm trying to figure out how to use AI to sell to other small businesses. But there are so many sales tools out there that I don't even know where to start. Recently, I've been looking into cold email marketing, but all the options are overwhelming. Any insights you can share would be much appreciated.

I need some quick advice before I call my lawyer. I run a business in CA, and one of my employees is starting a competing venture on the side. They've filed paperwork, contacted our vendors, and tried to steal clients – all while on the clock. I've got clauses in their contract, but suing in CA for breaches is tough. This is new territory for me after 8 years. The employee's a top performer, but I can't let them take advantage. Do I sue or terminate? Worried things could get ugly. Thoughts?
Graham
Freelancer
After freelancing in web and video since graduating in 2006, I've enjoyed the freedom and success of working solo. But with the arrival of my daughter, I am considering expanding into an agency. I'm hesitant about sacrificing the lifestyle I've grown accustomed to. It's a tough decision, knowing that if it succeeds, I might regret not making the leap sooner. I'm seeking advice from those who've faced similar choices, hoping to find clarity.

I'm feeling the burnout. Juggling a full-time job with freelance web development for 2 years has been a grind. Clocking in 60-70 hours a week, I'm noticing my focus waning and distractions piling up. Worried about maintaining quality as my workload increases. Any tips to keep going?
John
Senior Dev
Struggling to win over my new team and get them to embrace the tools I was hired to implement. Despite the CTO's initial enthusiasm, I'm facing resistance in getting even basic systems adopted, like CI/CD that should help with code reviews. Is there a techincal solution, or do I need to charm my way through this?
Alex

After a year of bootstrapping my startup, I am looking to raise pre-seed money. This is my first time raising money. Outside of asking my network, I am a bit overwhelmed by where to start, considering the wide range of advice online from blogs & forums. I would love to hear some short, no-nonsense opinions on the #1 way to find investors & get meetings with them.

Even though we've reached $1 million in annual recurring revenue, growing our customer base is vital for continued expansion. However, with a monthly budget of $30-50k, the high costs of acquiring new customers are a significant barrier. we need to secure funding to tackle this hurdle.
